Doggday 24 A Rousing Success!

The AKDF hosted its twenty-first Doggday on September 27 with a sold-out golf tournament, busy tennis courts, and standing room-only cocktails, dining, and dancing. Doggday has always been about raising funds to provide opportunities to those in need, but just as certainly celebrating the generosity of our wonderful community and Andrew’s irrepressible joyful spirit.

And 2024 with over 200 participants was certainly no exception. It was a glorious day, and after last year's rainout, our supporters were gung-ho for tennis and golf. Afterwards, the evening festivities kicked off with a recap of the 2024 accomplishments and grants for the AKDF - then followed by the always enjoyable auction. Thank you to all of our bidders, the auction is a significant part of our fundraising efforts.

While raising needed funds is certainly of critical importance at DoggDay, joy, camaraderie, and renewing all connections have always been a consistent goal. It was so wonderful to see so many returning faces and old friends, many who came from afar. So thank you all for making another Doogday so memorable and successful.
